On route to Mackinac Island, we will spend our first day/night in Frankenmuth, MI. Enjoy free time at the famed Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland and the Frankenmuth’s River Place Shops where there is an assortment of shops featuring apparel, attractions, experiences, gifts, specialty treats, drinks and more. Don’t forget to check out the Bavarian Inn Glockenspiel Tower, which houses a magnificent 35-bell carillon, a beautiful figurine movement and an illuminated clock, all imported from Germany! The Glockenspiel can be heard for miles around Frankenmuth with lively German and American tunes and hymns. 12pm,3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. are the magical moments when the Glockenspiel comes alive. 1 night lodging and Dinner at local restaurant included.
On the second day enjoy a 16-26 minutes ferry ride to Mackinac Island (included). Upon arriving on the island, feel free to begin enjoying the island, as the luggage will be transported directly to the resort for us, or use 1 of the 2 included Carriage rides from the hotel to the ferry/downtown. This 3.8-square-mile island is famous for its lack of cars. You’ll either get around by foot, bicycle or even a horse. Because this location can be tailored to what a family or individual wants out of it, you have plenty of options to create your own day trip adventure, or join the group at the Optional Add-Ons listed below. - Experience the most enjoyable and authentic way to view the island. This 90 minute tour includes stops at Surrey Hills Museum, Wings of Mackinac Butterfly Conservatory (includes admission), Arch Rock, Fort Mackinac Avenue of Flags (admission not included) & will wrap up at the Grand Hotel in town. (A self-guided Grand Hotel Tour is available on-site for an additional cost of $12pp, subject to change, or you can conclude your tour by walking down the hill to the downtown area for shopping, dining, etc. If you are booking the Grand Luncheon Experience (below), your admission for the self-guided tour is already included with that add-on). Carriage Driver Gratuity is not included. Available for guests 10 years of age and older.

2. Grand Luncheon Experience & Self guided tour of the Grand Hotel
- Date: August 14, 2024
- The Grand Luncheon Buffets offers daily changing items to include fresh salads, composed salads, delicate bite size appetizers, assorted and domestic cheeses and fruits, fresh seafood including oysters, mussels, and assorted smoked fish, a variety of hot items, a carver station, lavish and bountiful desserts, & Beverages inclusive of La Colombe coffee, tea, and lemonade. Soft drinks, wine, beer, and a full bar are available at an additional cost.
- Admission for a self-guided tour of the Grand Hotel.
- Casual attire is acceptable, but please no midriff-baring tops, sweatpants, or cut-off shorts for ladies. For gentlemen, no sleeveless shirts, sweatpants, or cut-off shorts.
